The Panther team has an extensive history in developing successful midstream pipeline projects for several decades. In 2017, Panther sold most of its subsidiary companies and assets to a public company but retained its Sabine Pass TX area gas pipeline system.
The system runs through Sabine Pass, TX and offshore areas and is often referenced as the Fish Hook System. Panther acquired the system in 2004 from NGPL/Kinder Morgan.
Panther, prior to its sale in 2017, owned, operated and/or managed over 1,000 miles of crude oil & gas pipelines. The Panther systems traversed through multiple Gulf Coast onshore and offshore areas.
Panther is working with interested parties to repurpose its system to serve natural gas and/or CO2 customers. Panther anticipates the pipeline will transport one or more commodities from onshore customers in proximity to Sabine Pass, Port Arthur and Golden Triange industrial areas to offshore and onshore markets in TX and LA.
Current gas capacity is estimated at approx. 150 MMCFD, but could be expanded if needed.
CO2 flow capacity in gas phase is estimated at 3-3.5 million tons annually (mta). The CO2 flow capacity could be increased if the pipeline is operated as a dense phase system (1100+ psig).
